UIL 3A Girls All-State Second Team


14 Emily Schneider (Van Vleck)

Schneider was runner-up at her district meet before finishing fourth at Region 3-2A. She PRed at state with a 12:13 run for 13th place.


13 Tania Ramirez (Boyd)

Ramirez is another runner who ran under 13 all season long. She has two sub 12 performances from district and regionals. She was the Region 2-3A champion before placing 14th at state.


12 Julia Torres (Callisburg)

Torres ran sub 13 all season long. She was runner-up at her district meet but ran a 12:04 PR. She also second at Region 2-3A before finishing 12th at state.


11 Addison Martin (Ballinger)

The Ballinger junior is a jumper and hurdler during track and field season, but she showed her versatility by drastically improving this cross country season. Martin ran in the 13s this season until it was time to unleash the speed. She did just that at state and ran a PR of 12:06 to place 10th.


10 Addison Hite (Pilot Point)

Hite got out of the 13s in mid September and didn't look back. She won races at Pilot Point and at the MileSplit TX XC Inv. She finished 12th at McNeil in 12:44 and went on to finish third at district and sixth at Region 2-3A. Hite then went 12:01 at state to finish eighth.


9 Yvonne Legaretta (Friona

The Friona sophomore was eighth at the state meet in 2020 and improved to sixth place this year. Legaretta won her district meet and was fifth at Region 1-3A before finishing sixth this year in a 11:58 PR.


Aly Wray (Lago Vista)

Wry went from a 10th place finish last season up to fifth place this season at the state cross country meet. After running 13:07 early on in the season, she turned things up going under 12:38 every time. She won her district and was third at Region 4-1A prior to placing fifth at state in a 11:55 PR.
