Andrew Jones is at the later stages of the 2024 track and field season where he made great improvements in the hurdles.
Jones opened up the outdoor campaign with a 37.74 in the 300-meter hurdles, which was faster than his previous 38.97 best. As the end of the school season drew, Jones was able to capture a bronze medal in the event at the UIL 6A state track and field meet.
Last weekend, the Klein Collins sophomore also dropped his 110-meter hurdle best to 14.12 to make it two elite hurdle marks. Jones has now run himself to one of the top hurdle recruits in the class of 2026.
