Matthew Kearney Pulls Off Win Number Four!

Boys Race

  • Matthew Kearney pulled off his fourth 5k win of the year running 15:40. The next closest finisher was Houston Bellaire junior Ababu Muhamed who ran 16:07. It was a close battle between Muhamed and his teammate third place finisher Jamal Wote who ran 16:09. The team battle was won by the guys from Atascocita who scored 40 points placing 4th, 5th, 8th,11th, and 12th. They had only a 0:31 spread between their top 5.

Girls Race

  • Austin Westlake's Sarah Zagorin took the win in the girls 5k race finishing the course in 19:55. Zagorin was less then 10 seconds ahead of Cypress Creek's Morgan Michals who ran 20:02. Finishing off the podium spots was Galena Park Northshore senior Taryn Surratt who ran 20:05. Zagorin helped lead her team to the team title scoring 67 points.
