Heymach Opens Season At Texas A&M Invitational Running TX #2 16:42 3 Mile!
Girls Race
- Houston Lamar junior, Julia Heymach opened her season running TX # 2 16:42 for 3 Mile on Saturday at the Texas A&M Invitational. The junior is coming back after an extended track seasons running for Team USA in Cali Colombia, at the World Youth Championships. Finishing just behind her in 16:50 was Houston Memorial's Khayla Patel. Placing third and fourth were Kingwood seniors Abby Guidry, and Olivia Thompson. The duo lead the Kingwood girls to the team victory scoring 46 points.
Boys Race
- We saw some fast times in the guys race as well Kingwood senior Harry Bellow won the race running 15:05. Just behind him in second was Devin Fahey who ran 15:11 followed closely behind by David Zavala who ran 15:12. In the end it was the team from Katy Seven Lakes who claimed the title scoring 93 points lead by Enrique Baquiero ,who finished seventh. The guys from Kingwood came in second scoring 118 points.
