4A Girls
Morgan McCutchen winning Region 1 this year
Starting off with the individual race, we have the returning state champion Morgan McCutchen from Levelland who will look to reclaim her state title. She had a commanding win over everyone at Region 1, and will look to continue the momentum moving forward. Princeton sophomore Jaymee Dotson, will look to challenge McCutchen having run only four seconds slower for 3200m. Sanger junior Audrey Springer holds the fastest 4A 2 mile time and could also be a threat to McCutchen winning the title again. Jessica Kyle from Decatur also needs to be mentioned here after finishing runner up at State in 2014. There are several other girls who have run 12:15 or faster for 2 mile and could pull a big race to place on the podium.
