Boys 3200m
This event is wide open for the taking since last year's top three finishers graduated. Two guys who stand out for a shot at the title are Austin Zirkel and Cash Kunkel. Their seed times are only separated by a second, and Zirkel has the slight edge (10:09.05 over Kukel's 10:10.49). They're also the only two in the field who have run closest to nine minutes. These two sophomores aren't strangers -- they battled this past fall at the 1A State Cross Country Championships, which resulted in a dive at the line.
