Austin St. Michaels (TAPPS 5A Girls)
Austin St. Michaels will be looking to go for their third straight TAPPS 5A title. The 2017 year could be an extension of the past three years as St. Michaels looks strong again this year. They return six of their top seven girls including the three girls who placed in the top ten last year at state. They only scored 39 points to win last years race and they might just be even better this year.
Dallas Ursuline Academy (TAPPS 6A Girls)
Dallas Ursuline Academy will be going their third straight TAPPS title as well. This season, they have been taking on all competitors in the 5K. In every meet they're participated in they have been one of the top teams. The girls are looking stronger than ever this season. I don't even think they hardly ran any two mile races. It's been mostly 5Ks for the Lady Bears. They have two girls running mid to low 18s and another at 19:01. Not to be overlooked are the 4-5 runners who are both under 20:00, this team could be very difficult to beat.
Their challenge will come from the usual competitor Houston St. Agnes.
