Girls Individual: Jordan Mathis comes into the weekend with a 18:14 SB as she has been on a roll this entire season. Consistency is the key for her as she been in the front pack of every race she has run in this year and has three wins. She has a 18:08 PR from last cross season and a 17:42 on the track from the Texas Distance Festival, so she has the wheels to run a very fast race, which it should be this weekend.

Boys Individual: Myles Richter is having a great season as he has a win under his belt with last weekend's tough win in the mud. He is looking to get back to the state meet this year and have an even better outcome. He already has a 15:32 PR from the first week of the year.

Girls Team: The Grapevine girls are looking to get back to the trophy stand at state and they have a good chance at doing it. They have a 19:38 5K team average and they have a mixture of upperclassmen and youth.

Boys Team: Frisco Wakeland is one of the many 5A boys teams that will be expecting to duke it out in November. They have a clear low stick and a solid 16:32 5K team average both. If they can minimize their split and tighten the scoring pack, they could be up for a strong meet.
