2019 UIL Team State Champions And How They Won

Girls

The Sunray girls put together a team performance that led to a 66 point total for the UIL 2A girls team title. Their three sprint relays helped lead them to the win as they totaled 58 of their 66 points through the relays. 

They got individual points in the field events from Rylee Debord and Faith Castillo that assisted in their win. Their 4x400 relay win sealed the victory as they won by 10 points over Refugio.

Boys

Milano was able to capture their second consecutive team state title and they did it the old fashioned way with individual power. 

Milano had one relay score points when their 4x200 relay added 16 points with at 1:28.73 for second place. From there they showed they have some of the best athletes in 2A as they racked up 62 over all points.
