5A Girls
There was a time when the Lancaster girls ruled the state of Texas. Since then, new schools have popped up and have become relevant in 5A track and field. Lancaster never went away, they stayed strong and close to the top. Now, they have completely resurrected and risen back to the top of the girls UIL 5A track and field ranks.
Their 4x100 relay win was the beginning of a great weekend for them. With a time of 45.89, they were able to get the relay win followed by Fort Worth Chisholm Trail in 46.48, and Burleson Centennial in 47.05 to make it a DFW sweep in 5A.
5A Boys
Fort Bend Marshall has been setting the standard all season long. They have set the tone in this event not only for Texas, but also nationally. They win in 40.24, which is modest this season for them followed by John Tyler in 40.61 and Lancaster in 41.09.
