 25. Erik Lara (Houston Strake Jesuit)

It's no secret Erik Lara has the pedigree and he has the coaching staff that could result in big time outcomes. This could be the year we see it happen. The Strake Jesuit senior as been a leader for his team since the day he stepped foot on campus. Last year, he ran to a 15:26 PR and to a 38th place finish at the UIL 6A state meet. During track season, Lara dropped a set of 4:30 and 9:40 PRs. His 19th place finish at NXR South are good signs that 2019 could be huge for him.
