The top three returners from last year will not be competing, so the race is literally up for grabs. Not only is the individual race affected, but the team qualifiers will also decide which of the top individual finishers will qualify.

The 2019 UIL 6A champion Aubrey )'Connell and the 2019 UIL 5A state champion are now the top returning individuals who will be scheduled to compete.
