Roger Rivera had another strong cross country season this year. He is starting his 2020 track season in style. The day was windy, but the effects didn't have enough bearing on Rivera's strong racing.
He took out from the start and established a solid pace, soon he was running all alone. However, he was chasing the 9:28 meet record and despite the wind and nobody to pace with, the chase was enough to keep Rivera striding along.
The unsigned senior kept pushing along for the win, he eclipsed the meet record, and had a great way to get his last high school season started.
