Before the season began, not many would have projected Cinco Ranch girls to qualify for the state meet let alone win Region 3 this season. Heidi Nielson and Sophie Atkinson would be the most that could be projected to qualify to Round Rock for most.
However, this year the entire Cinco Ranch team raised their level of running to exceed the expectations of most. Coach Mathis shares what it was about her team that led to the big turn around.
