Watch Bryce McCray And Donovan Bradley's 300H Showdown

The Generations Park Summer Creek Invitational had several key match ups. The boy's 300 hurdles was one that we definitely knew going into the meet would be one to watch.

Man oh man did it live up to the expectations.

Texas' number one 300 meter hurdler was entered and was up for any challenge. George Ranch senior Bryce McCray was the meet headliner entering the meet with his state leading 37.08. However, Summer Creek sophomore Donovan Bradley entered with sub 38.0 PR himself. His 37.92 ranks him No. 4 in the state, helping make the race a must see.

When the gun shot off, Bradley shot out. He tore down the backstretch attacking the first two hurdles with strong intentions. However, so did McCray; the University of Georgia signee was stride for stride with Bradley. A slight stutter step gave McCray the early lead; coming off of hurdle two, McCray, the more experienced runner began to put the pressure on.

Over the course of the next three hurdles, Bradley would fight to keep contact with McCray doing the work he had to do between the barriers. McCray hit hurdle five, opening the door for Bradley who used the McCray's momentum breaker to take the lead.

Texas' top hurdler would use his 48.20 400m speed to retake the lead and hold on despite running through the last hurdle.

McCray won with a 37.55 with Bradley close behind in a 37.74 PR. Also dipping under 40.0 were Areyon Davis of Fort Bend Marshall (39.10) and Barry Richards from Summer Creek (39.13).
