There was a clean start to this race where Tairah Johnson, a junior from Fort Bend Marshall, led the way the entire time smoothly gliding over each hurdle with speed and precision. She sped into the gold medal position with a time of 13:77.
Bryanna Craig from Lubbock Coronado sped into a second-place finish with a time of 14:08 and close on her heels was Sydnee Williams of Manvel for the bronze with a time of 14:16.

The gold medalist from 2019 Ashyiria Savage a senior from Lancaster also had the fastest time this year with a time of 43.06.
In lane 5, Savage had the early lead and was in control by the second hurdle and ultimately won the gold medal with a time of 42:15.
Coming down the home stretch Kirin Chacchia, a sophomore from Frisco Heritage tried to challenge Savage, but she was just too much for Chacchia and she wound up winning the silver with a time of 43.25. Symone Quiles, a senior from Amarillo, won 3rd place with a time of 43:68.
