UIL 6A Girls All-State Third Team

21 Alison Mueller (Katy Cinco Ranch)

Mueller's eighth place finish at Nike South was the only time she didn't finish in the top five during the season prior to state. She was second at district and Region 3-6A and then 21st at state in a 18:24 PR. The Cinco Ranch senior finished the season with the 23rd place finish at Team Championship South Region.

20 Mikaela Garza (San Antonio Brandeis)

Garza has been a big race competitor all season long. She was third at Islander Splash and tallied three wins ahead of the championship season. She was third at district and fourth at Region 4-6A. Garza ended the championship season at state with a 18:16 race for 16th place. She went on to finish 16th at the Team Championship South Region, 40th at Eastbay South, and then she ran a 18:02 PR for 9th place in the Silver division at RunningLane.

19 Isabella Rubio (Katy)

Rubio has been competitive in every race this season. Her highlights of the season were the three wins and a 10th place finish at McNeil with a 18:09 PR. She won Region 3-6A and was 22nd at state.

18 Virginia Knight (Flower Mound)

Knight expounded on a very good track season and carried the momentum into cross. She finished third at district and then eighth at Region 1-6A. She went 18:17 at state for 17th place and then ran 18:10 for a SB at RunningLane Nationals.

17 Cassandra O'Pry (North Crowley)

O'Pry had the start to the season she might have dreamed of, but definitely not the type of finish to it she would have desired. She started with a 18:17 5K at the Southlake Carroll Inv. and then she lowered that to 18:03 at the MileSplit TX XC Inv. Perhaps health didn't maintain throughout the end of season as she ran 22:21 at her district to end her season.

16 Madison Peters (Pearland)

Despite winding up 16th on this list and not making it to the state meet, Peters is one of the best distance runners in the state. She started the year off with a seventh place finish at the Southlake Carroll Inv. with a time of 17:57. She then went on to win out the rest of the season until Region 3-6A and added two more sub 18 minute performances. Peters led most of Region 3-6A before dropping out of the race.

15 Kaylie Cox (Southlake Carroll)

Cox started the year strong with a 17:35 PR for a top three finish at the Southlake Carroll Inv. She went 16:42 for three miles at Woodbridge. The Arkansas commit then won her district then went on to finish ninth at Region 1-6A and 19th at state.
