The boy's 110 meter hurdles is one of the toughest track and field events to compete in this season in the state of Texas. Denton Braswell junior Austin Kiser is one of the competitors state wide taking the event to such a high competitive level.

Last year, he qualified for the 6A state finals in the 110s and has been ultra motivated to return and get on the awards stand. Kiser has also been working on improving his craft in the 300 meter hurdles, trying to qualify to Austin in both hurdle events.

This year, he is executing the plan as he won both races at his district meet and at last weeks UIL 6A District 5-6 Area Championships. He has personal bests of 13.83 and 38.59 this year and with the Region 1-6A Track and Field Championships coming up this weekend as an opportunity to continue to improve on them.
