Wyatt Hoover Uses Big Last Lap To Win 3200

There was a tight pack of three that led the way early. Riley Nedrow, a Junior from Boyd had the lead. With 4 laps to go, Crawford Kiser, a Senior from Amarillo River Road took the lead from Nedrow. It then became a race of two with Kiser and Wyatt Hoover, a Senior from Poth. They furthered their lead from the rest of the competitors with two laps to go.

At the bell, it was Kiser and Hoover followed by Angel Torres, a Junior from Tornillo battling for 3rd and Nedrow fell to 4th place.

Down the back stretch Hoover took command and crossed 1st to win the gold medal with a time of 9:15.46. Kiser finished in the silver medal position with a time of 9:17.41, and Torres came in 3rd with a time of 9:33.74.
