Lane 8 was the defending Gold medalist Kyla Hill a Sophomore from Goliad. No false start was charged to anyone and we tried it again. On the second try we had a clean start with Hill gliding effortlessly over the hurdles and taking a commanding lead.

She took charge of the race, looking every bit the champion and with 100 meters left she ran away with it defending her gold medal.

Hill finished with a time of 43.73, Sophomore Gwyn Burnett from Llano captured the silver medal with a time of 44.54, and Brooke Munoz a Sophomore from New Waverly came in third place with a time of 45.79.
