Boys 4x100 Relay

Atlanta came in with the fastest regional qualifying time, but regional rivals West Rusk wasn't too far behind. Also making this race interesting before it started was having Brock, the defending champions out in lane nine ready to defend their 2021 title.

Brock exchanged first on the first leg, but it was Atlanta in full control from then on. The anchor leg was out further in the zone and had a huge lead as sprinted towards the finish line.

However, the anchors on the rest of the teams were all but deterred. More specifically, Brock's anchor leg had repeat aspirations and his carry was indicative of it. He closed strong pulling his squad close to the win, but they'd have to settle because Atlanta was too strong and too fast.

The Region 2-3A champs Atlanta won the state title in 41.74 just ahead of Brock in 41.92 with Yoakum finishing in third for the bronze medal in 42.11.
