TX No. 3 All-Time Discus Thrower Madeleine Fey Talks

On April 10th in Oklahoma, Maddie Fey threw the discus 179-07, the third-furthest ever by a Texas high school female athlete, trailing only Lewisville Marcus' Emma Sralla and Olympian Shelbi Vaughan. Fey, who just finished her sophomore season at Midlothian, won the 5A UIL discus (160-03) and finished second in the shot put (46-11.50). She also won the discus last year as a freshman when she attended San Antonio Southwest.

Fey's mother, Jo Ann Fey, a former SMU All-American under Coach Dave Wollman, plus Wollman and her high school coach Mallory (Adams) Hibbert, are guiding Maddie's success to what could be a tremendous conclusion to her high school career: near the top of Texas' all-time list in both throws.
