And now Sutton, the SPC's top returning thrower, is also heading to college - at Oklahoma State.

A multi-sport athlete (volleyball, soccer, track & field), Sutton has made steady progress over the course of her high school career, from 30' 01" shot put and 76' 07" discus her freshman season to now eclipsing 41' in the shot and nearing 130' in the discus. With goals of hitting 45' in the shot and 140-150' in the discus, Sutton also has her sights on the SPC State Championships, April 28-29 at her home field at Fort Worth Country Day. It's here when she'll defend her state shot put title and look to capture the discus crown; she finished second in 2022.
With both Sutton Howard and sprint star Rachel Nelson (Stanford signee), keep an eye on Fort Worth Country Day making a strong push toward the top of the podium this season.
