Heath Vernor (Ennis) -  Senior

Vernor finally got his state title that he's been looking for. He threw 184-9 in Austin for the UIL 5A title. He threw over 190 feet two times including his 195 PR at Region 2-5A.

Rafe Clendenin (San Antonio Brandeis) - Senior

Clendenin threw over 180 feet on four occasions including his 184-3 toss to win the UIL 6A championship. He went 181-8 for the Region 4-6A crown and had a 188-2 PR at area.

Kyron Duhon (Humble Summer Creek) - Junior

Duhon threw a personal best 193-8 to win the Region 3-6A meet and earned a berth to the state meet. His 183-4 throw in Austin gave him the runner-up finish in 6A.

Andrew Huff (Stafford) - Senior

Huff improved on his runner-up finish at last year's 4A state meet with the win this year. His 179-9 earned the gold medal and he ended the season with a 184-5 personal record. He also placed third in shot put with a throw of 56-6.50.

Caden Reagan (Goliad) - Junior

Reagan threw a 182-5 personal best in late March. Since then, he was unbeaten and won out including the 3A state title with a 177-11 3A toss. He was also fifth in the shot put.

Bryce Braden (Stratford) - Sophomore

Braden is one of the state's top young throwers, but he wasn't letting inexperience cost him anything. The Texas Panhandle thrower tossed a huge 178-11 to win the Region 1-2A title and followed that up with a168-10 to claim the UIL 2A championship.

Calvin Mason (New London West Rusk) - Senior

Mason was much improved in the discus this year. He threw over 150 feet on three occasions including a 163-8 personal best. He went 156-2 for the UIL 3A third place finish and was and runner-up in shot put with 57-5.50 throw.

Creece Brister (Stephenville) - Junior

Brister won the shot put with a 58-0.50 toss and had a 59-0 personal best this year. He was much improved in the discus getting out over 160 feet five times this year including a 168-3 to finish as the UIL 4A runner-up.

David Hicks Jr. (Katy Paetow) - Senior

The five star football player had one of the best throws in the country this year; his 202-2 ranks first in Texas and eighth nationally. Hicks threw 186-11 for third at the Region 3-6A meet and then went 182-6 at the UIL 6A state meet for third place.
