Presley Andras Continuing Dallas Ursuline's Legacy

Presley Andras crosses the finish line in 18:58 at the 2023 Dallas Jesuit Inv.

Dallas Ursuline has a storied legacy of great distance runners: Melanie Wilcox, Natalie Crain, and Becky Wade, to name a few. Wade, now Ursuline's Head XC Coach, has instilled confidence into Presley Andras, the key component Andras says is responsible for her marvelous sophomore campaign.

She currently sits fifth in the 5K for all TAPPS female runners at 18:58.4 and seventh in the 2-Mile at 12:19.8. A former soccer player, Presley looked to Cross Country as a means to stay in shape for the Winter sport she grew up playing. Then she realized the talent and hasn't turned back. At the TAPPS State Track & Field Meet in 2023, she ran a 2:18.70 in the 800 and a 5:20.77 in the 1600; these times reassured her that she's made the right decision.

Her goal is simple: win state. TAPPS 6A is loaded with talent, including the Dallas Ursuline squad, so this goal is within reach.

TAPPS 6A District: October 19th at Springfield Park in Rowlett.

TAPPS Cross Country State Championships: October 30th at Cottonwood Park in Waco.
