For the legendary Coach Richie Mercado to use the word "phenom," you know an athlete is special. Taylor Synnott, a freshman at Houston St. John's, leads the SPC in both the 3200 (12:00) and the 5000 (18:33.)

Under the tutelage of Coach Barrett, Taylor has reached admirable levels: according to TX MileSplit, her 3200 ranks 5th amongst all Texas freshman, and her 5000 ranks 14th. MileSplit is correct in tagging her as a "Future Star."
