The Jesuit-Sheaner Relays is a long-standing track and field event hosted by Jesuit (Dallas) High School. Herb Sheaner and Mike Sheaner are additional cooperating and managing parties who have contributed to the 59 year success of the event.

Many of the best teams and athletes in the history of DFW and throughout Texas have competed at this meet. Some have gone on to professional careers in track and field and football as well NCAA/World Championship/Olympic Games success in the sport.

With the history of the event in mind, the meet this weekend is shaping up to be one for the record books.  There are 133 schools from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma that have registered to participate in the meet March 22-23, 2024. 

Of the Texas athletes, there is a slate of accomplished athletes:

- Jonathan Simms (Allen), age group national record holder in the 400m

- Abby Elmore (Gunter), U20 Pan Am Silver Medalist in the Heptathlon 

- Skylynn Townsend (Prosper Rock Hill), 2024 Nike Indoor Nationals triple jump champion

- Dyson Wicker (Rockwall Heath), 2024 New Balance Indoor Nationals pole vault champion

- Kailey Littlefield (Lucas Lovejoy), three time UIL 5A 800m state champion

- Duncanville girls, 2023 UIL 6A overall team champions

There could be as many as thirteen or more records fall on Saturday.  Records most at risk are shown below.

Girls

·  100m (11.51) - Hannah Lowe, Sachse and Indya Mayberry, North Crowley come in with better times.

·  200m (23.55) - Nasya Williams, DeSoto comes in with a better time.

·  800m (2:08.80) - Kailey Littlefield, Lucas Lovejoy comes in with PR or 2:06.21

·  1600 (4:45.24) - Samantha Humphries, Flower Mound and Nicole Humphries, Flower Mound come in with better times.

·  4x100 (45.26) - Duncanville comes in with time of 45.27 and Lancaster 45.69.

·  High Jump (6'0") - Abby Elmore, Gunter comes in with PR of 6'0".

·  Triple Jump (41'7.5") - Skylynn Townsend, Prosper Rock Hill comes in with 42'1.5".

·  Long Jump (20'0") - Ryhan Balous, McKinney North comes in with 20'2.5" and Skylynn Townsend, Prosper Rock Hill comes in with PR of 20'8.5".


 

Boys

·  400m (46.09) - Jonathan Simms, Allen comes is with a PR of 45.12

·  1600m (4:08.4, 2nd oldest record set by Robert Gonzales, Falfurrias in 1967) - Noah Strohman, Holliday and Caden Thurman, Wolfe City come in with better times.  Caden Leonard, Southlake Carroll is also expected to enter.

·  4x100 5A (41.08) Frisco Lone Star and Mansfield Timberview come in with better times.

·  Long Jump 5A (24'5" oldest record on the books set by Mike Madigan, Dallas Jesuit in 1964) - Colston Adamson, Lucas Lovejoy comes in with PR of 24'5.25".

·  Pole Vault (16'7") - Dyson Wicker, Rockwall Heath comes in with 17-4.75 and a 17-8.50 indoor best.
