2025 UIL 5A Boys 4x100 Relay
The 2025 UIL Boys 5A 4x100-meter relay final lived up to the hype, delivering one of the most thrilling races of the day at Mike A. Myers Stadium. Alvin Iowa Colony, coming in with the second-fastest time in the nation (40.02) and the top mark in Texas, faced immense pressure to chase a sub-40 second clocking-and they delivered. Despite a shaky first leg, Iowa Colony's relay team of Derrick Hahn, Jayden Warren, Jeremy Garner, and Antoine Martin Jr. regrouped quickly, executing clean exchanges and storming down the track to a stunning 39.74 finish. Not only did they shatter their own school record, but they also became one of the few teams in the country to break the 40-second barrier this season-a remarkable achievement for a program that's existed for just four years.
