2024 UIL 2A Girls 4x200 Relay
Refugio entered the race as the clear favorite, but they had more than just a State title on their minds, they wanted the meet record.
Jazmyn Howard and Carlie Mcclain were fresh off the 100m for Refugio and they were joined by Caytlin Brown and Ja'zae-lynne Lewis. The quartet was first to each exchange zone and took down the meet record with a time of 1.41.28.
The remaining two spots on the podium looked like they were up for grabs when both Panhandle and Falls City found themselves in the middle of the pack after the second exchange. However, both teams found their stride with Panhandle finishing second in 1:42.65 and Falls City took third in 1:42.89.
