| The Forecast: | |||
| This is going to be a fun race. I really think there are 5 or 6 girls that could make | |||
| a podium trip. It will depend on how the race plays out. I see Rachel Johnson and | |||
| Amanda Russell pushing the pace from the front and a group of girls behind trying | |||
| to hold on to the pace. The last 1000 meters will be very inportant. | |||
| Wassef and Steup ran huge season bests in their regional race so they are fit | |||
| when it counts at the end of the season. Tindell is a seasoned vet and ran very | |||
| well in the tough Region 2-5A in Waco. Salazar has been really consistent | |||
| all year loing. | |||
| Alex's Prediction: | : | ||
| 1. Amanda Russell | 10:32 | ||
| 2. Rachel Johnson | 10:34 | ||
| 3. Regan Tindell | 10:50 | ||

| Ryan Dohner | #3 | Beat Smith at Texas Relays | |

| John Cavallo | #15 | 0 Victories vs compettion in other regions | |
| Jacob Benn | #11 | Beat Serrano at Region 4-5A | |
| Luis Serrano | #46 | 0 Victories vs compettion in other regions | |
| The Forecast: | |||
| I see it coming down to the last 800 between Dohner, Lutz, and Stinson. Lutz | |||
| is a great 3200m runner and has shown speed this year running a state leading | |||
| 4:09 in the 1600m. I believe he takes advantage of his first state track meet | |||
| appearnce and wins pulling away in the last 600. The race between Dohner and | |||
| Stinson will be epic. Dohner looked really fit at region 2 beating Stinson in that | |||
| race and I see the same thing happening at State. I really think Jacob Benn | |||
| is a talent. He has not raced with anyone to truly push him this season. He | |||
| has pretty much stayed in the San Antonio area. I think he shows up big at state | |||
| running a huge PR and turning some heads. | |||
| Alex's Prediction: | : | ||
| 1. Craig Lutz | 8:53 | ||
| 2. Ryan Dohner | 8:55 | ||
| 3. Parker Stinson | 8:56 | ||
