off three straight individual XC titles, much was expected of Locke, and he
didn't disappoint. The senior swept the 800, 1600, and 3200, setting PRs in

epitome of Track and Field, Hurley scored 35 of her team's 3rd-place
81.5 points. Hurley placed second in the 100, 200, and discus, while earning
a third-place medal in the 400 while soaring to fourth in the pole

DeRamus: Covenant Christian School-Conroe DeRamus leaves Covenant Christian as the school's all-time sprints leader. He
won the 100, 200, and 400 - all with wind-legal personal bests of 11.01,

junior led her squad to the team title by scoring 44 of its 116 points. She
won the 100 and triple jump and scored three silvers in the 200, pole vault,

Freeman: Rosehill Christian School-Tomball Freeman
came in 8th place. Yes, Graham Freeman scored all 35 of Rosehill Christian's
points, good enough for an 8th place finish - out of 32 4A schools. He won
the 400 and the long jump, finished third in the pole vault and 200, and

Seghers: Covenant Christian Academy-Colleyville Like
her 4A male counterpart, Seghers, a sophomore, scored all of her team's
points: 40. She swept both hurdle races (with a PR in the 300h), set a
personal best in the high jump and set another in the triple jump. Her 40
points placed Covenant Christian 5th out of 29. |

Belew: Midland Christian School Showing
outstanding range, Belew captured gold in the 800, and 1600 while taking
second in the 400. Belew's 28 points helped Midland Christian to a

Powell: Regents School of Austin There's
nothing better than a PR, and that's even more true when one accomplishes
this at the state meet. Powell set PRs on the way to victory in the 100h and
300h, and she also anchored the 1st-place 4x400. |

Jackson: John Paul II-Plano Appropriately
named, Jett won the 110h in 14.04 (0.3) and set a PR on the path to victory
in the 300h - 37.27. Jackson also anchored the 4th-place 4x400 and won the

Giesinger: Nolan Catholic-Fort Worth After
leading Nolan to the top of the team podium at the 2026 XC State
Championships, Geisinger showed track & field fans she's the real deal in
distance: she won the 1600 and 3200 and finished 2nd in the 800. |
