HOUSTON- The Thundering Herd track and field team recorded 11 new season best times/distances at the Conference USA indoor track and field championship in Houston, Texas, on Friday and Saturday. Overall, Marshall finished 12th at the championship while Houston claimed the title.

Callie Wells won the mile and 3000 meters to help lead Rice to a second-place finish in the Conference USA women\'s indoor track and field championships at Yeoman Fieldhouse Saturday. Houston defended its team title with 141.5 points, to Rice\'s 126. UTEP finished third with 72. Wells was honored as the female performer of the meet after her double victory
