RECAP: Texas A&M Rewrites National Rankings!

Girls Field 
Long Jump

Samiyah Samuels wrote her name in the long jump rankings this weekend jumping U.S. #3 19-9.5 for the win. She beat out World Youth Champion Tara Davis to claim the win. Davis ended up finishing in 2nd with a U.S. #8 jump of 18-11.25. Mansfield Summit's Ivone Walker finished in third jumping U.S. #11 18-7.

Trible Jump 

Chelsey Cole won the triple jump and was the only triple jumper to jump a top 10 mark. Her jump of 38-8.25 ranks U.S. #6. Essence Thomas from Galveston Ball was close to cracking the top 10 in the country with her jump of 38-1.25 which ranks U.S. #11.

Pole Vault

Colleen Clancy had the best vault of the weekend clearing 12-8.75 for U.S. #5. Her jump ranks TX #2 behind 
Avery Stuchell from Denton Ryan who vaulted 13-1.5 on January 2nd at the Pole Vault Explosion VII. Stuchell's vault is tied for U.S. #2.

Shot Put

Chyna Otis from Killeen Harker Heights won the shot put with her throw of 45-3.75. That mark is TX #1 and U.S. #8. Asia Abron finished second with her throw of 40-11.00 and Chardae Tryon was third with her throw of 
40-04.75.

High Jump

Ellyana Long from The Woodlands jumped 5-8 to win. That jump is tied for U.S. #1.
