Gabby took the lead early and never looked back with an impressive 9 second win of the field running a 7:29.26. This even is rarely contested in Texas so to put up a quality time like that is very impressive. The Woodlands Ashley Koett paced herself well earning a 2nd place victory in 7:38.24. Distance standout Emily Voss (Katy) rounded out the top 3.

It was a tightly contested match througout but Dominic Baptiste slowly gained the advanatage and the win with his sparingly used foot on the barrier technique. The JR from Klein ran a 6:22.94. He was followed by Jaron Hamilton (Arlington Bowie) who ran a 6:27.83 just ahead of hometown favorite Logan Thomas from Cedar Park.
