Mackenzie Frank girls 17-18 Region 12 400h Champion
Mackenzie Frank on-route to win the girls 17-18 400H final (1:01.36)
Your PR coming into this meet was 63.89. You ran more than 2 seconds faster to win the race in a new PR of 61.36. How did it feel to accomplish this?
It was very overwhelming. Honesty, I had no clue that I had just set a new pr. I’m just glad that all the hard work I put in paid off.
Is there anything you can attribute to this PR?
I believe that if I continue to working hard, it will pay off.
You came back later that day to help your 4x4 take home the gold running 3:49.27. How does it feel winning a relay compared to winning an individual event?
It feels good to celebrate with your teams. It’s really cool to know that all the work we do benefits us in the future.
Are there any goals that you have set as the national meet approaches (team goals/individual goals)?
For our 4x4 team, I want us to be able to make it the finals. For my individuals races, I just want to make it as a far as I can. With it being my first year in summer track, I am truly proud of myself.
