North Texas Cheetah girls 13-14 4x400
NTC Girls 11-12 4x4 (3 of the 4 girls have returned and are now on the 13-14 4x4)
Three of you girls return from the 11-12 national record setting team and are now competing in the 13-14 age group. What kind confidence did setting the national record give you girls?
Jaera Griffin- That if we work harder we can drop our times even more.
Cierra Wash- Working as hard as we did last year will give us the confidence needed for great outcomes this year.
Destini Jeter- It gave us the confidence to know
that we could compete even though we are at the bottom of the age group.
Setting
that National Record last year was an amazing accomplishment. What did getting that record mean to you
girls?
Jaera Griffin- It means a lot, it means that we worked hard all year.
Cierra Wash- It means a lot because our names went down in USATF history.
Destini Jeter- It means that we could do anything if we put our minds to the task.
Entering the USATF Region 12 meet with such a strong group, did you girls expect to et the Region 12 13-14 4x4 record?
Jaera Griffin - No, we just wanted to continue to improve our time and performances.
Cierra Wash- Our main focus was just to do our best.
Destini Jeter- No, we did not expect to break the record. We just ran the hardest we could.
Chasy Johnson- Our team had no idea that we would break any record. We were just determined to do our best.
