5A Schools Take Gerald Richey Invitational By Storm
The 5A schools at the Gerald Richey Invitational dominated the competition including their 6A counterparts. On the guy's side, the team from Lovejoy took control of the race placing six guys in the top ten, and seven in the top 25. They showed off their depth again this week in their second race back after beating another strong 6A/5A field at the Plano Invitational only two weeks earlier. This weekend they were again led by senior Grant Tiff who finished 2nd running 15:58.30. These guys are going to be a team to keep an eye on in the 5A rankings as they are coming back hungry after finishing 2nd at the 2015 state meet.

On the girl's side, another hungry 5A team who proved they should not be messed with is the team from Prosper. The ladies placed four in the top six, and six in the top 20. They scored 27 points to take the win over 6A Coppell. They are also looking to have a strong season this year after placing 3rd at the 2015 5A state meet. The Team only lost one senior in Kyra Drobny from their top seven. Watch for Prosper to make more big statements this year.
