Texas Relays: Which Events To Watch For

Maryland's Bullis girls interview at NBNI after winning the 4x400

Girls Relays

The girls relay events will be such a treat to watch this weekend. If you are not at the Texas Relays this weekend, you will definitely miss a treat and a meet for the ages. Literally, the top teams in the nation will be on site. The top four girls 4x100 teams will be locked and loaded as will U.S. #6, #7, and #9. Texas currently has some of the top sprint teams in the nation and many of them will be on hand.

The 4x200 and the 4x400 are going to equally as impressive if not more. Texas has the heat and the speed and with teams from all over the state being present we definitely should be treated to a show.

However, just because it's the Texas Relays that doesn't mean only Texas will be in the house. In fact, Florida will be in the house. The Miami Northwestern girls will bring their relay teams that are all ranked either U.S. #1 or #2 in all three major sprint relays for the outdoor season. The Northwestern girls have run 45.81 in the 4x100, 1:36.27 in the 4x200, and 3:42.84 in the 4x400.

But WAIT, that's not it. Maryland's Bullis school will also bing their talented young ladies to the Texas Relays. Bullis isn't ranked this outdoor season, but that will change. Bullis just completed their indoor season where they ran 1:37.30 in the 4x200 and 3:39 in the 4x400 during the indoor season. Bullis pretty much showed out at the New Balance Nationals Indoor championships, where the best of the best go to compete for the indoor season.
