Analysis: In cross country and track and field we lose so many of our potential stars to other sports. Well, count Moore as one of our victories. Coach Symons was able to convince Moore who previously was committed to the Atascocita Marching Band to devote his time and efforts to running and that has paid off tremendously. From the time Moore bought in, he went from a 17:34.09 PR down to 16:00.60 at McNeil and 16:07 as a sophomore down and then down to a 15:32.60 PR and 15th at the state meet as a junior. He also led his Atascocita Eagles squad to the UIL 6A state meet and gave them a shot to compete for a state title.
With another summer of training what will we see Moore do this season? Can he put together a dominating season of cross? Can he be the seasoned senior and dominate Region 3? Can he lead his team back to the state cross country meet?
