Analysis: Having been to the state meet twice and earning an automatic bid for the 2016 NXN Nationals Kraus had just about seen it all and done it all. His College Park squad has been one of the best cross teams nationally for the last couple of years. However, graduation has taken some of their leaders and Kraus' training partners. While College Park is in no way in desperate need for good runners, now is the time for Kraus to become the man. Kraus has a 15:30.53 5K PR and experiences gained from state and NXN that enables him to run with just about anyone in the state. Having gone 4:22.32 and 9:28.09, Kraus' track abilities show that he has the potential to be elite and really push it over 5K. However, potential only amounts up to just that on race day.
