McKinney North
At the UIL state meet alone, there were 12 team state championships awarded. The McKinney North girls were one of the teams. However, they were also victorious the year before. McKinney North battled the entire state nipping at their heels trying to dethrone them.
They responded with a season so special that only a strong and committed group could have accomplished what they did. The North girls scored points in the sprints, distance events, and the relays en route to scoring the most points ever in the 5A girls state meet with their 98 points.
