Four Observations from UIL District Week

Class 2A Girls Race Is Heating Up

Are the two time defending 2A girls state champs in real trouble? Like for real, for real, the Sundown girls have girls coming for their throne. After last year, it looked as though 2018 was going to be another up year for Sundown.

However, it looks like a group of teams are are tryin to take the sun down.

A good bill of health for the San Saba girls meant they were legitimate contenders for the Sundown throne, but it was thought that the two time state champs would have enough to fight off a challenge. However, the Lady Dillos look very good. Kaleigh Ellis, Brighton Adams, and Courtnee Cash all had a good district meet for San Saba and look to add Kylee Eckermann back to their lead pack to further bolster it up.

Then, there is Sidney Tucker led Seymour squad that had a good district meet as well.

Harper has a strong group of girls who will look to make a big push for Sundown's throne.

We will learn more about these girls at the regional meets, but one thins is for sure, there will be some team drama in that girls 2A race in Round Rock.
