3A Girls
An eight lap race all came down to 1 lap. There were four girls challenging for the win with 400m remaining when Goliad's Ellie Albrecht took off. It took a while for anyone else to respond, but Karylee Talor did so and caught up with 100m to go and she was able to take the win in 11:27.19 with Albrecht coming in second.
3A Boys
Kevin Baez has been one of the top 3A runners over the last four years and has totally owned the classification over the last year or so.
This race was expected to be no different. It took a while before he exercised his will, but when he did, he did. Baez rolled to another state title making it look easy in 9:35.39.
