Katy Tompkins senior Cole Lindhorst won the 2019 UIL 6A 1600m state championship in a 4:07.41 PR. Last spring, he also ran a 9:01.54 3200m PR at the state meet.
Lindhorst just released to us his top six of schools that are recruiting him. He has trimmed his list down to Texas, Oregon, Washington, North Carolina State, Air Force, and Syracuse.
Last weekend, after his Nike South Invitational runner-up performance, Lindhorst hopped on a flight for his visit at the University of Washington. This weekend, he will take his final recruiting trip to the Air Force Academy.
A decision could come before the state meet, "It's just kind of when I feel comfortable, probably before the state meet," Lindhorst said.
