Region 4 in 5A has produced some impressive performances this season, with San Antonio Wagner's Chance Stanley leading the way in the 100 meters. His 10.52 from the Edgewood Invitational stands as the fastest time in the region. Gregory-Portland's Brandon Coates (10.65) and a pair of underclassmen, Victoria West's Jeret Swanson and Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial's Zhi'Yeair Lofton (both at 10.70), round out the top three.

In the 200 meters, Liberty Hill's Spencer Harvey owns the region's best time at 21.15 from the Grizzly Relays. Seguin's Ocean Moreno (21.64) and McAllen's Samuel Enriquez (21.68) are also making an impact. Enriquez is a factor across multiple events, ranking in the top 10 in the 100, 200, 400, and contributing to McAllen's top-ranked 4x400 relay team.
