The Nike Cross Nationals (NXN) qualifying rounds for the national team cross country championships have begun. The Nike Cross Regionals South (NXR South) is this weekend on November 23 in The Woodlands, Texas.
All of the South Regional races have been at Bear Branch Park since the iteration back in 2007. The Bear Branch course is a flat and loopy course on field turf, grass, dirt, and gravel.
Athletes and teams from Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas will compete this weekend. Texas teams have always been the top contenders throughout the meet history. That should continue this weekend.
The weather conditions this weekend will be almost perfect running conditions. Championship race time temperature will be approximately 65 degrees with sunshine.
