Taylor Long of Hamilton led the boys 800m from start to finish. From the moment the gun went off, the pack wasted no time pushing the pace. Long ran the first lap in fifty seven seconds and continued to lead through most of the race and finished with a time of 1:58.19.
Long was challenged in the final straight away by Matthew Moralez of Premont with a time of 1:58.52. Moralez added to his medal collection with his second place finish in the 3200m earlier in the meet. Kasen Jeitz of Centerville took the bronze medal with a time of 1:58.85.
