2A Girls 100H
Kailey Sinast of Yorktown had a quick start coming off the first hurdle with the early lead. She would keep the rhythm throughout the race, getting closer to the win with each stride and hurdle clearance. However, on her inside from lane one, Panhandle area hurdler Rese Schoonover of Stratford was on the move. Schoonover slowly cut into the lead, but ran out of room as Sinast captured the title in 14.91.
Schoolover finished second in 15.1 and Marlin Hurdler Taliyah Davis was third in 15.43.

In the longer hurdles, the start was conversely different. Sinast got off to a slow start and Schoonover was the one blasting out of the blocks. Schoonover led around the track until the curve when Sinast changed a couple of gears and took the lead.
Pulling away in the end, it appeared Sinast was headed to a clear win, but the last hurdle caught her; avoiding a major catastrophe, she was able to use her momentum to get another win in 44.85. Schoonover finished second again in 45.62 and third place went to Panhandle's Sydney Adee in 46.82.
