Four girls came into this race with a 2:11.83 and under, including two freshmen coming in around the 2:10 mark. Anastacia Gonzales of Boerne Champion had the top time coming into today's meet.

Gonzales and Jaiden Itson of Fort Bend Hightower took the lead at the beginning of the race. Gonzales took off hard and fast like she loves to do with a split of 1:01.71.

Kailey Littlefield of Lucas Lovejoy sped into second place with 300 meters to go. At 100 meters, Littlefield turned on the jets and passed Gonzales to win the gold with a time of 2:08.04. 

After a dominant performance in the 3200m this morning, Isabel Conde De Frankenberg of Cedar Park pushed through to the end and passed Gonzales for a second-place finish with a time of 2:09.21. Gonzalez finished third with a time of 2:10.78. Freshman go one and two to close out an impressive race.
