The 2021 Southlake Carroll XC Invite is coming up this weekend and should be quite the meet; it will perhaps be the best meet so far this season.

Why will it be so dynamite? Well, there are over 70 teams registered for the event and they are using MileSplit's free registration and one of the top timing companies in the country (RunFAR Racing Services, inc.)

The over 70 teams attending will represent just about every part of Texas imaginable - - and more.

The DFW area will of course be represented. The distance running hot bed of the West Dallas to the East Fort Worth area will have many of it's star studded programs like hosts Southlake Carroll, state powerhouse Grapevine, Colleyville Heritage, Coppell, Hebron, Keller Timber Creek going as far out as Weatherford and Aledo. Include Rockwall, Plano East, Richardson, Wylie, McKinney North, Prosper , Allen and the Frisco area schools and it's a DFW who's who.

East, south, west Texas along with some Houston area teams will all be competing this weekend in Southlake. Royce City, Pittsburg, and Sulphur Bluff will come from the east and El Paso Franklin, Abilene, Lubbock Monterey, Midland Lee and Crane will come from the west and far west parts of Texas. The El Paso Franklin girls have qualified for the UIL 6A state meet for several years and the Lubbock Monterey boys have one of the best individual runners in the state with junior David Mora, but they have a quality team who could make an impact at the state meet this year.

South Texas will bring RGV powers McAllen and Edcouch-Elsa. Tilden McMullen will also compete brining the 2020 UIL 1A state champion Isaiah Billingsley who transferred from Miller Grove.

The Houston area will be represented by Pearland and Houston Episcopal who is an SPC power and has star Kat Kwiatkowski. Vandegrift and Leander Rouse will represent the Austin metro area.

Some out of state flavor will also be at the Southake Carroll XC Invite with Fayettevile and Rogers Heritage coming down from Arkansas.
